  1. Cool VL Viewer
  2. 1.- Origin and support:
  3. The Cool VL Viewer is an Open Source (GPL v2), third party viewer for Second
  4. Life® and OpenSim grids. It is maintained by Henri Beauchamp (Second Life
  5. avatar name), maker of the Cool Products in Second Life.
  6. This software is not provided or supported by Linden Lab®, the makers of
  7. Second Life®.
  8. Support for this viewer is provided exclusively through the Cool VL Viewer
  9. forum (http://sldev.free.fr/forum/).
  10. 2.- Updates and upgrades:
  11. Please note that there is no auto-update feature neither any automatic latest
  12. version checking mechanism for this viewer: it is your responsibility to check
  13. manually and regularly for new versions from either the Cool VL Viewer Help
  14. menu ("Latest version check..."), its website (http://sldev.free.fr/) or its
  15. forum (http://sldev.free.fr/forum/).
  16. 3.- Privacy policy:
  17. No data whatsoever is collected or sent to the author of this viewer. Data is
  18. however stored on your hard disk and exchanged with the servers of the grid(s)
  19. you connect to, in the exact same way as an official Second Life viewer would
  20. do.
  21. 4.- Linden Lab's Third-Party Viewer policy compliance:
  22. As the maintainer of this viewer, I, Henri Beauchamp (and in fact the real
  23. person behind this avatar), declare in good faith that to the best of my
  24. knowledge and understanding, and baring any unknown and yet to discover bug,
  25. this viewer is compliant with the Third-Party Viewers policy as published by
  26. Linden Lab (http://secondlife.com/corporate/tpv.php) at the time this
  27. particular viewer build was released (see above about your responsibility
  28. regarding update checks).
  29. 5.- Liability:
  30. As a user of this viewer, you must also comply with Linden Lab's Third-Party
  31. Viewer policy when you connect with this viewer to the Second Life grid, and I
  32. will take no responsibility whatsoever for any bugs or shortcomings that you
  33. would abuse or exploit in any way to violate the TOS of any grid you connect
  34. to, or to violate the TPV policy of Second Life.
  35. Finally, to make things crystal clear, let's quote the GPL v2.0
  36. (http://www.gnu.org/licenses/old-licenses/gpl-2.0.txt) under which this viewer
  37. is licensed:
